AAARRRGGGHHHHH Nearly Chirstmas :(

Hello Everyone

Thank you for coming back.

Chirstmas is fast approaching. I havent made my Christmas cake, would it be so bad if I bought one and fed it brandy and then iced it mayself?????? I just dont have the time to do all I want. And I have lost Otis. On the plus side I have nearly a month to find him!!!! lol

But with Christmas in mind I made this little chap. Meet Eddie the Elf.

I hope he gives as much joy to the children he is going to that Otis gives mine. I am sure he will and I will be getting tips off their mum for new things my Otis can do. :D

I need to find more socks like Eddie. That was the last pair in the shop. Otherwise I will not be making Elves this year.

But I do have a girl started (again, last pair of socks), just need more fluffy as girls have to have fluffy! :D Waiting for it to be ordered in. I have also nearly finished a dinosaur and a minion. I just cant get motivated to actually finish them. Maybe this week. Must make the effort. Although I do have a pattern that I want to try for a pair of slipper and for a cute decorative stocking that I think would be ideal for Otis to give the kids and put sweeties in when he thinks they need a treat. :D So you see why Christmas is coming way to early for me. lol

Hope you are all keeping warm (I am no longer allowed JD in my hot choc, apparently it is too expensive to waste in hot choc :O).

A Witch for Halloween

Evening All

I hope you are all keeping warm. I find a blanket, the dog on my feet and a little bit of JD in my hot choc works wonders. :D

Halloween is approaching. Rather than the usual decorating the house at Halloween its going to be a quiet one i think. Will be watching scary films with the kids, well Igor but thats scary enough I think. :P

I have made a Halloween Witch Sock Monkey. She jingles and not quite as grumpy as usual! :D

I took the kids to a Halloween party today so they dressed up. Afterwards they had to go to the library to collect their certificates and medals from the summer reading challenge. There will even be a photo in the local paper. My kids will be easy to spot as they were the only ones dressed up! lol

But whilst at the library I found the most delightful book. So I have ordered 2 books by the same author. I cant wait to start sewing. Need to go through my limited fabrc stash and see if I have anything suitable for a dog, teddy and cat and maybe the slippers. But in my defence I am hoping some things can be made as xmas presents, thats my excuse and I am sticking to it!!! :D

Sparkly Dino

I have only made a sparkly dinosaur this week. These take me so long to make as I am not the fastest at crochet (would probably be faster if i turned facebook off though!!! lol)

But, anyway, here he is. This is for my youngest for Christmas.

I have got a minion half made and have started on another dinosaur. Must finish them this week.

And I want to make another witch sock monkey. So much to make, so little time to make it.

Also I ordered some material this week. Am planning on cooking hampers for the girls in the family and also some art bags. You would think being a stay at home mummy I would actually have time for all this!!! :D

Thank you so much for the comments on the dinosaur. I have tried to comment but not sure if it worked! But I really do appreciate you taking the time to comment. I will be making another dino very soon. x

Anyhoo, as a thank you for my friend who has helped me with my college work (and will continue to do so I hope) I made a minion. I made it into a key ring. Think i should have pinned the parts together first though as he looks a bit wonky! She loves him. :D

And I have made another.......

My niece is princess mad so I have been looking for patterns I can adapt into a princess. I found this doll pattern http://jennyandteddy.blogspot.com/2011/05/free-amigurumi-sweet-girl-leena-pattern.html and thought i could maybe change it a little to a princess.

So here she is. Snow White. Will have to wait until end of November before my niece gets it but am thinking of maybe making more for xmas presents. Maybe Sleeping Beauty or Belle next time. Must buy flesh coloured wool though as white looks a bit scary!! :P

I have just started another minion for my cousins little boy for Christmas (how organised am I!!) and then will make another dino i think.

I havent been doing much crafty stuff recently as college has started back and I am behind with my homework so trying very hard to catch up.

But I have made a dinosaur. I was looking for new patterns (like you do) and my youngest saw a picture of a dinosaur he liked. I then had to buy the pattern and being impatient that I am I then had to go up in the loft to try to find green wool for him.

As you can see I ran out of wool and had to use another green I found. But I still think he looks good as does my youngest although he is actually for my nephew so need to buy green wool to make one for my youngest, and a different green to make one for my eldest and a pink for my daughter.

I have also had a disaster with a teddy bear. I have an arm that is bigger than the leg none of it looks right. i think i must have used different sized crochet hooks so have given up on that for now as I will need to buy more wool to finish it.

Instead I started on another minion as a thank you for my friend who has done witness statements for my college work for me (and she will probably be asked for lots more so have to keep her sweet!!! lol)

I am seeing her Monday and am planning on having him finished by then. Hopefully finished tonight.

Finished in Time! Yay :D

Good Afternoon

Last night I finished the minion for my eldest. It is his birthday tomorrow and I cant wait to see his face. I really do think this is the best on yet and, even better, no blisters!!! :D

Faberge Eggs

Good Afternoon Everyone


I havent been making much as we have been on holiday and are now decorating plus being school holidays I am trying to entertain 3 kids as well. :D


So I thought I would show you the faberge eggs my mum has made for the kids. This one is for my daughter. As you can see from the close up the inside is all sparkly. And I do like a bit of sparkle.

She also made these 2 for the boys. I believe all the eggs are goose eggs that she used.

And finally my only make recently. This mini minion for hubbies car. Now to start on another minion for ds1's birthday on Sunday.
